Origin: Vistalba District, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza.
Tasting notes:
It’s been awhile since we have seen this wine, and it’s nice to see its evolution. Corte B is a malbec cabernet sauvignon mix from the cool 2016 vintage. The nose is intense with very pure red and black fruit reminiscent of black cherries/cassis and black raspberries with a dusting of pepper and black liquorice. The attack is stony and mineral again with the pure fruit flavours and a long, dry, floral, savoury, mineral finish. Just a baby; you can drink it now, but we would wait a decade given the huge fruit component. This would make a wonderful turkey wine for the holidays.
